Aaron was born in a trailer park in Wexel. His dad was abusive against him and his mom. He didn't get to enjoy a lot of things other kids did, he was homeschooled, isolated, and not allowed to view anything other than religious VHS tapes.
Aaron's dad's death left him alone with his mom, whatever small amount of wealth his dad had, and social security payments, and starting at public school. He meets Cheyenne on their first day of middle school at Kelsey Creek Middle School in August 2001, instantly becoming best friends. Aaron's introverted nature seemed to go well with Cheyenne's open-mindedness. His mom gets married to Kevin, a wealthier man, allowing them to move to a nicer home.
In 2008, Aaron and Cheyenne start going to WVU. This is where Aaron meets Jamie, his assigned dormmate. He moves in early for band camp.
They both drop out in 2010, and go back home. Aaron can't stand being around his mom, and asks to live with Cheyenne. Conveniently, Jamie has also dropped out and is looking for a place to stay since he was kicked out of his parents' house and doesn't make enough from teaching colorguard to live alone, so the three of them find a $500/mo apartment in Wexel.
For fall of 2011, Aaron and Cheyenne land jobs as a math teacher and history teacher respectively at George Pickett Middle School in Candor, an even smaller and more dying town a little south of Wexel. This school was so desperate for teachers that they would hire literally anybody that wasn't a pedophile, so their lack of completed education degrees didn't matter.
